Terms and Conditions

Effective 29 July 2026 · Last updated 23 September 2026

What these Terms cover

These Terms govern this website. They are not your construction contract. If you hire us, your project is governed by the written contract you sign, and where these Terms and that contract differ, the signed contract controls.

By using windowsandsidingreno.com you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. Call us instead, on (775) 391-8487.

About us

This site is published by Advanced Design & Development Inc (the company behind Windows and Siding Reno), at 1155 Watson Way, Suite 7, Sparks, Nevada 89431, telephone (775) 391-8487, email info@windowsandsidingreno.com. We do window, siding and door replacement and installation in Northern Nevada. Our Nevada contractor licence is 0077896A, classifications B-1 Premanufactured Housing, B-2 Residential and Small Commercial, B-3 Speculative Building, with a monetary limit of $3,300,000.

Estimates and quotes

  1. A form submission on this site is an inquiry. It is not an offer, not a contract, and not a reservation of a price or of a place in the schedule.
  2. Any figure produced by a cost calculator on this site is an illustration, not a quote, and binds neither of us.
  3. A written estimate we issue is valid for 30 days from its date. Window, fiber cement and engineered wood pricing moves with freight and mill pricing, and an open-ended quote is a promise we could not keep.
  4. An estimate assumes the conditions visible at the site visit. Concealed conditions (rot, failed sheathing, framing that does not meet code, undisclosed asbestos or lead) are handled by written change order under the section below, never by a silent movement in price.
  5. A binding agreement exists only when both parties sign a written contract containing every element NRS 624.970(2) requires.

Your right to cancel

Federal. If you sign at your home, the FTC's Cooling-Off Rule (16 C.F.R. pt. 429) gives you until midnight of the third business day to cancel a sale of $25 or more made at your residence ($130 or more for sales made at a temporary location away from the seller's normal place of business). Your contract will include the written notice and the cancellation form the rule requires.

Nevada. NRS 598.230 separately lets the buyer of a door-to-door sale of $25 or more rescind by written notice delivered or mailed no later than midnight of the third business day after the contract was signed.

Deposits and progress payments

NRS 624.970(2)(g) requires a residential-improvement contract to state the amount, not to exceed $1,000 or 10 percent of the aggregate contract price, whichever is less, of any initial down payment or deposit paid or promised before the work starts. That cap does not apply where the residential contractor has filed with the Nevada State Contractors Board a bond solely for the protection of consumers in the amount of $100,000, or has been granted relief by the Board under NRS 624.270(5).

After the initial down payment, progress payments are tied to stages of construction, and the contractor may never receive more than 100 percent of the value of the work performed at any point in the project (excluding finance charges), unless a payment and performance bond covering full completion has been furnished and its cost included in the project price (NRS 624.970(2)(k)).

These statutory protections apply to work on an owner-occupied single-family residence. Commercial, multi-family and HOA contracts are governed by their own negotiated terms.

Change orders

Under NRS 624.970(2)(i), any change in the scope or the price of the work must be agreed in writing and incorporated into the original contract as a change order, and a change order is not enforceable against the owner unless it sets forth all changes in the scope and price of the work and is accepted by the owner.

In practice that means two things on our jobs: no verbal change orders, ever, and no work proceeds on a changed scope until the written change order is signed.

Warranties on the work and the product

Manufacturer warranties are the manufacturer's. The products we install (Alside, Andersen, Codel, James Hardie, Jeld-Wen, LP SmartSide) carry warranties issued by those manufacturers, on their terms, and enforceable against them. We register your products and hand you the paperwork at completion. We do not extend, enlarge, shorten or guarantee a manufacturer's warranty, and nothing we say about one changes it.

Our workmanship warranty is our own and covers installation labour only. Its length and terms are stated in your signed contract: one year on our own workmanship.

No workmanship warranty we give covers: acts of nature beyond normal weather; misuse, modification or unauthorised repair after completion; pre-existing conditions disclosed to you in writing before work began; or normal wear and aesthetic change within the manufacturer's stated tolerance.

We make no guarantee of a dollar amount of energy savings, and no page on this site should be read as one.

The Board and the Residential Recovery Fund

Your contract will include the notice and the informational form required by NRS 624.520 and NRS 624.600 (NRS 624.970(2)(h)). If you have a dispute you cannot resolve with us, you may contact the Nevada State Contractors Board, and you may be eligible to file a claim against the Residential Recovery Fund (NRS 624.400 to 624.560). Nothing in these Terms or in your contract waives that right. NRS 624.970(5) makes void any provision that requires a person to waive a right provided by chapter 624 or that relieves a person of an obligation imposed by it.

Governing law and where disputes are heard

These Terms are governed by the law of the State of Nevada. Any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site is heard in the state or federal courts sitting in Washoe County, Nevada, and both of us consent to that venue. There is no mandatory arbitration clause on this site, and nothing here waives any right you have under NRS chapter 624.

Using this site

Use the site for your own lawful purposes. Do not attempt to interfere with it, probe it, scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people, submit a form on behalf of someone who has not asked you to, or send us anyone else's contact details through a form.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, photographs and other material on this site are published by Advanced Design & Development Inc and are protected by copyright. Do not republish or redistribute them without our written permission. Manufacturer names (Alside, Andersen, Codel, James Hardie, Jeld-Wen and LP SmartSide) are the trademarks of their respective owners. We name them because we install their products; naming them is not a claim of affiliation, endorsement or program membership.

The site content itself

The information on this site is general product and process information, published as-is. Specifications, ratings, colours, availability and lead times come from manufacturers and change without notice to us. Nothing here is a substitute for the certified rating label on the unit being quoted, the manufacturer's own warranty document, or a site visit.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of your use of this website is limited to $100. Nothing in this section limits our liability for work performed under a signed contract, and nothing here waives any right you have under NRS chapter 624.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Advanced Design & Development Inc, its officers, employees and subcontractors, from claims arising out of your misuse of this website or your breach of these Terms. This does not apply to anything arising out of the work itself, which your signed contract and Nevada law govern.

Notices

Legal notice to the company goes to Advanced Design & Development Inc, 1155 Watson Way, Suite 7, Sparks, Nevada 89431. Notice to you goes to the email or postal address you gave us.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. The version on this page is the current one, and the effective date at the top says when it changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms. A change here never alters a contract you have already signed.

Severability

If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest stays in force.
